Table View Angels is community-based and operates from Milnerton through to Melkbosstrand. We assist families in this designated area who have fallen on hard times for various reasons and help them by giving them a hand up, rather than a handout, for a limited period of a maximum of 2 months.

At the end of the designated period, we aim to leave the family or individual in better standing and able to provide for themselves yet again. The majority of our support to these families are provided through basic needs such as food, bus points, electricity and household items, with further assistance given in the form of emotional support as well as polishing CV’s and pointing out-of-work individuals in the right direction to find new employment.

Whilst our immediate need is to have a steady cash flow that would allow us to continue to feed an average of 20 families per week, our loftier ideal is to establish a halfway house in the area. This would allow us to provide safe accommodation to families who have ended up on the street, without resorting to shelters that split up the family unit. Not only does this further demoralize people who have already had a hard time of it, but as there are currently no shelters between Cape Town and Atlantis, we also find it extremely hard to find an available bed for them if the need really arises.
